Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Underarms.

Most clients enjoy smooth underarms for 3–6 weeks depending on hair growth cycles, hormones, and previous removal methods. Regular waxing often extends intervals as hair becomes finer. We recommend scheduling every 4 weeks for optimal results and maintenance.

Proper waxing performed by experienced therapists does not cause long-term darkening. Temporary redness or minor pigmentation can occur if skin reacts, but gentle technique, pre- and post-care, and sun avoidance reduce risk. Contact us about hyperpigmentation concerns before your appointment.

Wear loose clothing, exfoliate lightly 24–48 hours beforehand, and ensure hair is about a quarter inch long. Avoid heavy creams, deodorant, or sunburn prior to waxing. Arrive relaxed; we'll assess your skin and address sensitivities.

Some discomfort is normal, but pain is brief and tolerable. We use soothing waxes, expert technique, and calming post-wax care to minimize pain and irritation. For especially sensitive clients we can perform a patch test or apply numbing products on request.

Avoid hot showers, heavy exercise, and deodorant for 24 hours. Keep area clean and moisturized with recommended products, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and wear breathable fabrics. Use SPF if exposing treated skin to the sun to prevent pigmentation.

Waxing weakens follicles over time, often producing finer, sparser regrowth, but it rarely guarantees permanent hair removal. For permanent reduction, consider laser treatments. Many clients experience significant long-term thinning and extended smooth periods with consistent waxing.
