Get answers to common questions about Bikini.
Hair should be about a quarter inch (5–7 mm) so the wax can grip properly. If shorter, wait a few weeks; if longer, a trim helps. Regular waxing allows smoother results and easier maintenance over time.
No. Waxing removes hair from the root and typically does not change its color or thickness. With regular waxing, regrowth often appears finer and sparser versus shaving, which cuts hair bluntly and can make regrowth feel coarser.
Some sensation is normal, but most clients find Bikini waxing tolerable. We use gentle techniques, high-quality wax, and calming aftercare to minimize discomfort. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever beforehand (if appropriate) and breathing steadily can help significantly.
Typically every three to six weeks depending on your hair growth and personal preference. Regular appointments keep the area smoother longer and make wax sessions quicker and less uncomfortable as hair becomes finer with repeated treatments.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and exfoliating products 24–48 hours before your appointment. Clean, dry skin is best; avoid heavy lotions on the day. If you’re using retinoids or certain medications, tell us beforehand to ensure safe treatment.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, tight clothing and direct sun for 24–48 hours. Apply recommended soothing lotions or aloe, exfoliate gently after several days, and report any prolonged irritation or unusual reaction to your therapist.
