Arrive clean and dry, avoid heavy lotions or recent tanning, and allow about a quarter-inch of hair growth for optimal waxing. Wear comfortable clothing and inform us of medications, allergies, or recent skin treatments before your session.
You may feel brief discomfort, especially during the first appointment, but techniques like quick pulls, proper tension, and calming products reduce pain. Many clients report it’s quick and tolerable, and sensitivity typically decreases with regular waxing.
Hair should be roughly a quarter-inch long—about two to three weeks of growth for most people. If hair is too short the wax won’t grip; if it’s very long we may trim slightly for a more comfortable service.
Most clients return every four to six weeks for Hollywood waxing and three to four weeks for brow maintenance, depending on individual hair growth. Consistent appointments thin regrowth and can lengthen the time between services.
Avoid waxing if you have open wounds, severe sunburn, active skin infections, or recent chemical peels. Certain medications like isotretinoin increase risk; consult your provider. Pregnancy is generally safe but inform your esthetician for comfort adjustments.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise and tanning for 24–48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free soothing products, exfoliate after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs, wear loose clothing, and avoid harsh skincare on treated areas for a few days.
