Trim hair to about a quarter-inch if hair is very long, avoid heavy creams or tanning products, exfoliate 24 to 48 hours prior and arrive with clean, dry skin. Wear comfortable underwear and communicate preferences to your esthetician.

Some discomfort is normal, especially on sensitive inner thigh areas, but experienced estheticians use technique, fast removal and numbing options to minimize pain. Regular waxing typically becomes less uncomfortable over time as hair thins.

Hair should ideally be one-quarter inch (about the length of a grain of rice) so wax can grip properly. If hair is longer we'll trim it; if significantly shorter we may suggest rescheduling for optimal results.

Typically results last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles and care. With regular waxing, hair often grows back finer and more sparse, extending the smooth period between appointments.

Avoid waxing over fresh sunburn or recent spray tan/self-tanner because skin can be more sensitive and dyes can transfer. Wait until any redness has subsided and self-tanner has faded to reduce irritation and staining of wax.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense workouts and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. Apply soothing aloe or a recommended post-wax balm, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and use SPF if exposing the area to sun.
